Family is everything.

This is something we all know, and yet it can be so difficult to prioritize family portraits. And then one day, your children are half grown and you're wondering where the last 5-10 years have gone.... It's time to capture this stage now, before it too is gone in the blink of an eye!

Whether you are booking a session for your small immediate family or for your large extended family, my mission is the same: to capture quality portraits of you all together, which are worthy of being displayed in your home for many, many years to come. I understand that true legacy portraits may be taken only once every 10-20 years, but they will far outlast us and will be cherished by future generations. You can rest easy knowing you're in the hands of a capable, qualified photographer who honours and values your family's legacy.

I take on limited sessions each month and book well in advance, especially for my highest-demand seasons of spring and autumn. Please reach out at least one season in advance to reserve your spot on my calendar, when possible! Family sessions can take place in the studio and/or outdoors year-round; even winter has the potential to lend itself beautifully to a family portrait session, as long proper attire is worn!

My family sessions consist of a mixture of posed and candid portraits; I've found over the years that this combination is key to keeping things fun, fresh, and light. This also provides a wonderful variety of proofs to view following your session. I always make sure to get a variety of portraits combinations: each child solo, children together, parents together, children with mom, children with dad, etc. I'm interested in capturing your family's unique bond and personalities, to create a wonderful collection of portraits.

I know you want to look and feel your very best, so my family portrait sessions include complimentary professional makeup services for one individual in the Session Fee, in addition to the use of my extensive ladies and children's wardrobe. Perhaps most importantly, I offer an in-depth style consultation & wardrobe planning service prior to each family session, so you can feel confident your family's outfits will not only coordinate nicely with one another, but also be in harmony with our shoot location and season. I include all these extra services to ensure we capture the most aesthetically-pleasing family portrait possible, which you will be exceptionally proud to display in your home!

Approximately a week following your session, I will bring a presentation of your unedited proofs to the comfort of your own home, so you can select your favourite portraits for me to edit, and order luxury print products such as custom wall art, heirloom albums, fine art prints, and gifts. Please note all portraits and products are purchased in addition to the Session Fee noted below; the price of each product includes its corresponding JPEG digital file(s) at a resolution size of 3600px, or printable up to 12".
